Meet Emily
I’m Emily. I’m a firecracker and fiercely feminine, annoyingly indecisive, and when I get passionate about something, there’s no stopping me. I never imagined Boudoir photography would become so meaningful to me, and I’ve fought hard to create a space for women to feel confident and sexy— all on their own terms.
So here we are.
I take pictures to capture the beauty of life; the candid, crafted, unnoticed, and celebrated moments of it. I’ve adapted my style of photography to reflect in boudoir imagery the same way, celebrating the beauty of it all. I’ve been chasing glitter and beautiful things for as long as I can remember, and now I’m here to capture and document that in yourself.
I’m based in Birmingham, Alabama and frequently travel the Southeast to document weddings + love stories. Aside from Birmingham, I’ve lived in Jackson, Mississippi and Atlanta, Georgia and visit both areas as often as I can.
I’m lucky to have married my best friend and high school sweetheart in 2018. I love a good mezcal cocktail. I spend the entirety of my summers by the pool (but you’d never tell because I’m always pale regardless). I’ll take a skiing trip any chance I can get.

I got my first camera when I was 14 and never put it down after that. Besides taking picture of everything around me, I made my sister do random photoshoots with me in the backyard. I immediately started photographing my friends’ senior portraits and any other gig I could get as a high schooler, taking my work more seriously throughout college.
I’ve bopped around different jobs right out of college, from graphic design, retail + merchandising, social media managing, and event planning, ultimately realizing that photography is what makes my heart happiest. I began pursuing film photography in 2020 and have developed my editting style based on color tones from Potra and FujiPro film stocks.
I photographed my first Boudoir sessions in 2021, and have spent the past 2 years honing in the skill, perfecting the clientele experience, dialing in techniques and figuring out all the logistical hoops to jump through to make this the best experience for my clients.
I’m so grateful for the amount of women who’ve trusted me with this experience and to create these type of images for them. Nothing is moe rewarding than the feedback I get from women feeling empowered and beautiful in their own bodies.
I started Calliope Boudoir to specifically manage boudoir photography clients and to develop my skills in this specific photography field.
